Chapter 711: Mutation!

Yue Zhong’s warning was effective for some of the survivors. Although these people and Enhancers were hungry and thirsty, they gritted their teeth and bear with it, not eating the black wheat nor water.

Yue Zhong had discovered a few scientific equipment from the village, likewise, some of them had found the same. As long as one was not stupid, they could guess that this world was already irradiated.

Kong Cui Yun and Xiao Lan both looked to the camps and saw the various women selling their bodies in exchange for a little food, and their expressions turned to one of fear. Before the apocalypse, it would be an act of shame, but now, it was normal.

One of the naked men who had some strength was already dressed in some clothes. He came up to the both of them and laughed lewdly, “Hey! Girls! Come, let’s f.u.c.k! This bowl of black wheat porridge will be yours.”

Xiao Lan looked at it, swallowing her saliva before coldly saying, “Pei! Scram the f.u.c.k away for your grandaunt!”

The naked man’s eyes flashed with fury as he took a huge step towards Xiao Lan, “Little b.i.t.c.h, you should be honored your granddaddy I set my sights on you. Those b.i.t.c.hes over there fought to accompany me. You better f.u.c.king give me face!”

Xiao Lan looked at the naked man with a look of fear, and she retreated a few steps involuntarily.

Just after he took a few steps forward, a sharp bone spike shot out explosively, stopping right at his throat.

The man was so frightened that he broke out in cold sweat as he backed up immediately, “Sorry! Sorry!! I’ll leave now! I’ll leave now!!”

The moment he backed away, the bone spike returned to White Bones.

As long as he did not overstep his boundaries to threaten Yue Zhong’s safety, White Bones would not act out.

The man looked at Xiao Lan and snorted coldly, “Little b.i.t.c.h, seems like Yue Zhong doesn’t seem to care much about you girls. Let’s see when you beg me. At that time, I’ll make sure you’ll regret today!”

Seeing that he had left, Xiao Lan’s eyes looked down in sadness. She was truly tired and thirsty. Yue Zhong had just given them a little water and protected their lives, but beyond that, it didn’t seem that he valued them much. They had no ability to find food or water for themselves, if they continued like that, they would likely beg that man out of desperation.

“d.a.m.n it!!” Kong Cui Yun watched the man leave, as her eyes flashed with a resolute look, and she went straight into Yue Zhong’s tent.

Yue Zhong was laying there drinking milk and consuming some Type 2 Mutant Beast meat as he read a book quietly. The moment Kong Cui Yun barged in, his brows furrowed as he asked, “It’s you?”

Kong Cui Yun looked at the food and milk beside him and her eyes flashed with greed. She turned to stare at Yue Zhong, “Earlier, you said that as long as one agrees to be your slave, and not disobey your orders, you will give food and water, right?”

Yue Zhong stared back at her and replied, “That’s right! However, let me make it clear first. If you become my slave, whatever I ask you to do in the future, some might even endanger your life. Are you willing?”

She chuckled in self-deprecation, “What choice do I have? Without your protection, I would already be in a state worse than an animal. Within a week, I’ll be dead for sure. I promise to be your slave.”

After that, her face flushed red as she began to undress, revealing her youthful and lithe body.

When she was fully naked, she dove into his covers, begging, “I want something to eat and drink.”

Within a day, Kong Cui Yun had already lost some of her arrogance and princess-att.i.tude.

Yue Zhong felt her smooth skin under his fingertips, and he felt his heartbeat quicken. After a moment of hesitation, he pa.s.sed her the milk and Type 2 Beast meat to her.

In this strange world, Yue Zhong did not know if he would be able to see other humans. If this world was left with only those savages or other humans who would not accept him, then his companions would these survivors that arrived together with him. He had no way of saving hundreds of them, but one or two were still within his capability.

Kong Cui Yun accepted the food in happiness and gobbled them up.

She finished the food, cleaning her lips before looking towards Yue Zhong coyly, “Do you want to do it with me?”

“No need! Go to sleep, we have to be on our way tomorrow.” Yue Zhong turned off the light and immediately went to sleep.

In response, Kong Cui Yun felt a sense of relief, yet disappointment at the same time, before hugging Yue Zhong’s arm to sleep.

The 2nd day, Yue Zhong and Kong Cui Yun ate breakfast, before leaving the tent.

Xiao Lan was curled up, her face pale and cold. She looked at Kong Cui Yun who walked out with Yue Zhong with a look of jealousy and contempt.

Kong Cui Yun looked at Xiao Lan and spoke with a lofty tone, handing her some bread and water, “Lan Lan, you must be hungry. Take this.”

Xiao Lan looked at the bread and water, her eyes filled with a complicated gaze as she thanked her, “Thank you, Cui Yun!”

Xiao Lan was extremely clear on the value of the bread and water, it required an entire night with a woman to exchange.

“Ah!!”

“Save me!!”

“It hurts!!”

“…..”

At this time, there were screams of agony and moaning from the group of survivors.

Yue Zhong immediately charged towards their location.

He discovered a number of survivors kneeling on the group spewing out blood, thras.h.i.+ng about on the ground. They were struggling painfully, and there seemed to be about 90 of them.

The remaining 30 or so looked at them helplessly, their hearts cold.

Yue Zhong came up to Fuhrana and asked solemnly, “What’s going on?’

Her lips were slightly chapped and her expression ugly, “These people were those who drank from the stream. Seems like the water is truly radiated.”

Yesterday, Yue Zhong had already given his warning, however, due to the immense thirst, those people had thrown all caution to the wind and drank from the stream. The effects were showing right now.

Yue Zhong frowned and looked at the survivors carefully. He noticed one particular survivor who was on the ground and his eyes narrowed.

He saw that as the survivor spat out blood, his forehead began to split open, revealing rows of sharp teeth, looking like a freakish monster.

Yue Zhong continued to look at the rest of the survivors, noting another one growing a scorpion tail, while another had multiple boils on his face. One had sharp claws growing out of his right hand.

Yue Zhong looked at the mutating survivors and frowned, “Is this mutation? Under the radiation, humans could actually become like this. Truly astounding. Or maybe there’s something else in the world that causes an effect?”

“Save me!!! Save me!!” At this time, Ma Fun saw Yue Zhong and came crawling towards him while still throwing up blood. However, after a few meters, he spat out a large mouthful and died with blood running down his orifices.

Due to the differences in body const.i.tution, some survivors quickly died, while others were still struggling violently.

Yue Zhong stayed a while before turning and walking away silently. The most important thing was to find a way to communicate with the inhabitants of this world. Otherwise, if they stayed on too long, there was no telling what would happen. He had enough water and food on himself, but these 30 other survivors didn’t.

Fuhrana and the rest of the survivors picked up the items of the deceased and followed Yue Zhong.

Kong Cui Yun swept her gaze over the survivors and felt shocked. In just another day, another hundred had died. This world was terrifying, beyond her imagination. She turned to look at Yue Zhong and felt her emotions calm down. As long as there was him to protect her, she believed she could live on.

Everyone followed Yue Zhong quietly.

In front, there was only a wide, vast area of nothing. Not a single shred of green to be seen, while bullet shrapnel was scattered everywhere.

The survivors following behind Yue Zhong began to get more irritable, their eyes flas.h.i.+ng with red. They had gone an entire day without water, and walking for so long was causing them to dehydrate, making the thirst even more unbearable.

They finally could not take it anymore and as Yue Zhong was resting, the 33 survivors began to surround Yue Zhong.

Yue Zhong looked at the survivors who obviously had bad intentions and asked coldly, “What do you think you’re doing?”

After a moment of hesitation, the naked man from last night stepped out, looking at Yue Zhong darkly, “Yue Zhong, I know you still have water with you. We want a bottle of clean water. As long as you can give us a bottle and let us live, that’s fine.”

Yue Zhong’s face turned ugly, “No. I have water, but that’s mine. I need to traverse this place for G.o.d knows how long. I won’t give water to you. If you want a drink, go find it yourself!”

The face of the man became even darker, his voice becoming louder, “Don’t force us!! We want to live on!! If we’re pushed to a corner, we can ignore everything and go crazy!!”

The other 33 survivors also stepped forwards with ugly expressions.

At this time, White Bones stepped forward quietly, 10 sharp bone spikes shooting out from its body, pointing at the survivors.

Seeing that, the survivors had a change of expression. A single Yue Zhong could kill them all, adding on White Bones, they were sure to be killed without a burial ground.
