812 Defection of the Demonic Beast, King Zhou’s Style (1)

Zhou Shu’s body flickered as he transformed into another person.

Yao Buqi wanted to cry.

He wanted to defect, but Zhou Shu was the only one he wanted to join, not the human race.

Besides, would those humans give him a chance to speak?

Look at how aggressive they are. I’ll probably be beaten into minced meat before I can say anything.

Boom!

Before Yao Buqi could finish this thought, he heard a loud bang.

Someone was already attacking the Two Region Mountain.

“Stop it! Stop it now!” Yao Buqi shouted helplessly.

“How dare you, demonic beast! How dare you violate the agreement and attack in advance? Get out here!” A loud shout came from outside the Two Region Mountain.

The person who shouted was an old acquaintance of Zhou Shu, Tang Tang of the Xu Ling Grotto-Heaven, nicknamed Tang Mao’er.

He stared at Yao Buqi and immediately saw his red eyes. “Come out and prepare to die!”

Beside him, Zheng Yongtai had already rushed over and was also staring at Yao Buqi with a murderous expression.

The Sima Grotto-Heaven and the Xu Ling Grotto-Heaven were jointly responsible for the defensive line, and the two of them were the commanders.

“Would you believe me if I said that I’m not your enemy?” Yao Buqi said.

“You’re a demonic beast. Of course you’re our enemy,” Zheng Yongtai said disdainfully. “Hurry up and come out to die. Don’t waste our time!”

Yao Buqi: “…”

“I’m really here to seek refuge with the human race. I’m old friends with the noble Zhou Shu, King Zhou—”

“You know Zhou Shu?” Tang Tang interrupted Yao Buqi coldly.

“Yes. I’ve worked with him several times, and it has always been very pleasant,” Yao Buqi said in confusion.

Behind him, Zhou Shu, who had changed his appearance, slapped his forehead speechlessly. What you said is easily misunderstood.

“Zhou Shu is indeed colluding with demonic beasts!” Tang Tang was furious. “Tell me clearly how Zhou Shu colluded with the Demon Realm and betrayed the human race!”

Yao Buqi: “…”

What? King Zhou is colluding with demonic beasts?

Is this kid out of his mind?

When did I say that King Zhou was colluding with demonic beasts?

If he cooperates with me, does that mean he’s colluding with demonic beasts?

When did I, Yao Buqi, become so influential that I can represent the demonic beasts of the Demon Realm?

“Little brother, you’ve misunderstood,” Yao Buqi said.

“Who are you calling little brother? Who do you think you are? Cut the crap and explain clearly! Where are you from, and how is Zhou Shu colluding with your Demon Realm?!” Tang Tang shouted angrily.

An obscure expression flashed across Yao Buqi’s face. No matter what, he was someone with status. Even when he mined under Zhou Shu, he had never been scolded like this.

He endured his anger and said patiently, “I said you’ve misunderstood. King Zhou isn’t colluding with the Demon Realm. He’s a king of the human race. I came this time to seek refuge with him. I’ve already drawn a line with the Demon Realm. I hold no hostility toward the human race.”

Tang Tang didn’t believe it at all. He said with a cold expression, “Come out first. Do you think you can be safe just because you’re hiding on this mountain? If you don’t come out now, don’t blame me for smashing this pile of lousy stones!”

“I can’t go out. Once I do, I’ll go crazy,” Yao Buqi explained seriously.

Tang Tang was furious. His body shone brightly, and he was about to continue attacking.

He was a hot-tempered person to begin with, so how could he put up with Yao Buqi’s explanation?

Zheng Yongtai grabbed Tang Tang. He looked at Yao Buqi and said in a low voice, “You said that you’re here to seek refuge with Zhou Shu. Do you know where Zhou Shu is?”

Yao Buqi subconsciously wanted to look at Zhou Shu, but he controlled himself. “Isn’t he in the human world?”

“The human world is very big. Let me ask you again. Are you in contact with Zhou Shu? Why are you seeking refuge with him?” Zheng Yongtai continued asking.

“No, I’m not in contact with him. But I think King Zhou is a big shot of the human race, so I’ll definitely be able to find him if I come over. As for why, the Demon Realm is in chaos now. I don’t want to help the evildoers. Isn’t it normal to seek refuge with the human race?” Yao Buqi explained seriously.

Zheng Yongtai frowned slightly. This was the first time he had encountered a demonic beast taking the initiative to seek refuge with the human race, and it even involved Zhou Shu.

After Zhou Shu was taken away by the Xu Ling Grotto-Heaven, he had mysteriously disappeared. Even now, Great Xia was still negotiating with the Xu Ling Grotto-Heaven.

Although the Xu Ling Grotto-Heaven didn’t care about Great Xia, they were all humans after all, so they couldn’t make things too ugly. The storm of this matter had yet to be calmed.

Now, this demonic beast seemed to be able to prove that Zhou Shu had indeed colluded with the Demon Realm. If they could capture him and bring him to the Xu Ling Grotto-Heaven…

Zheng Yongtai glanced at Tang Tang.

He had a good relationship with Tang Tang, but the Sima Grotto-Heaven and the Xu Ling Grotto-Heaven had never gotten along. Especially after Zheng Chengan and Ji Lutian went to the Xu Ling Grotto-Heaven, the two sides had many conflicts.

Countless thoughts flashed through Zheng Yongtai’s mind before he finally came to a conclusion.

He couldn’t let this demonic beast fall into the hands of the Xu Ling Grotto-Heaven.

“This demonic beast…” Zheng Yongtai said. “I know you want to seek refuge with Zhou Shu, but unfortunately, he’s not here now. I’m his friend. Come back with me first.

“Is this mountain your divine weapon? Demonic beasts who can use divine weapons are rare. Did Zhou Shu give it to you?”

Zheng Yongtai smiled.
