Su Qianci looked at the children without turning back, put her hand on his, and said, “The year before last year,” she paused and looked up at his face. “You don’t like him? Mosen is actually a good boy. Not at all like Tang Mengying.”

Whether his look or temperament, he did not take after Tang Mengying. Children needed to be taught. The character was not often inherited. Su Qianci always believed that people are kind at the beginning. Facts had proved that Su Qianci did a good job with Li Mosen. When he was just picked up from the orphanage, Li Mosen was very afraid of strangers and introverted. He did not dare to go out to play. He always stayed alone.

At that time, Dasu and Ersu were learning to speak, calling him brother. Followed by the two little kids, Li Mosen became more and more cheerful and lively. He was also very intelligent.

Li Sicheng chuckled, holding her. “He is a great kid. You have taught him well.”

“Tang Mengying is very hateful, but the child is innocent.” Su Qianci looked at him. “When the director of the orphanage called me, I was working overtime at the company. At that time, Mosen had a fever for several days. He took him to see a doctor. The doctor said it was flu. At that time, the orphanage was in short supply. Many children were infected, but Mosen’s condition was the most serious. The director hoped that I could help those children. After that, he was somewhat dependent on me, so I simply adopted him and took him in our household registry.”

She reached up and took his hand. Su Qianci looked up at him and said, “I knew that you would come back. When I proposed to adopt him, you disagreed. I was afraid that you couldn’t accept him, so I asked him to call me auntie instead of mother.”

Li Sicheng heard that and deliberately put on a stern face. “Stupid girl, you did it without my permission.”

“You were nowhere to be found at the time, so I couldn’t. This child had such a horrible time. At that time, apart from me, he would not listen to anyone, he also refused to eat and play with the children, so I… ”

“It doesn’t matter, as long as we teach him well and don’t let him grow into an ungrateful person.” Li Sicheng released her and whispered. “I am going to prepare something. There is a grill over there. Take the kids to make some barbecue later.”

“Okay. Go.”

Li Sicheng was a bit reluctant to leave, kissed her, and walked toward the grill.

Su Qianci checked around, blushing. Then she took off her shoes and walked in the direction of the children. Li Mosen took Li Jianyue to pile up the sand. Having finished her candy, Li Jianyue used the stick of the lollipop to poke the sand. After the sand was dug up, Li Mosen put the sand up, and Li Jianqian was looking for shells and adding them to the sand castle.

“Ah! Crab!” Li Jianqian yelled, holding a finger-sized thing in his hand and shouting with excitement. “Mosen, Ersu, look, there is a crab! It’s alive!” He ran up barefooted and threw the little crab in the middle of the pile of shells.

Li Mosen looked at him and reached out to pinch the little thing, handing it to Li Jianyue.

The little girl looked at it with excitement. But when it was in front of her, she immediately escaped and laughed loudly. “It is really alive. So small, take it home and eat it!”
