Clouds hung low in the crimson sky as though it would unload its burgeoning load at any time. The land was covered with jagged boulders which were covered with layers of gray powder.

The powder was a result of years of weathering after the crumbling of bones.

In the middle of this world was a marsh. Instead of mud, the marsh was filled with sticky liquid that resembled flesh and blood.

This was where the Punishment of Extreme Hell was. It was filled with the aura of evil, decay, savagery, and death.

In ancient times, before the Heaven Fey City was established, the land where it was located was a terrifying forbidden zone, known as the No Return For Thearchs. This was because even Fey Thearchs would perish upon entering.

And such a forbidden zone had been conquered by a peerless Fey expert, resulting in the establishment of Heaven Fey City.

But no matter how powerful the peerless expert was, he failed to completely purify the evil and dark entities in the forbidden zone. He finally cast a powerful divine power, carved out an independent space beneath Heaven Fey City, and sealed all of them inside.

This was the underground Extreme Hell.

After billions of years, the various evil powers in the Extreme Hell was weakened, but they still existed.

The Punishment of Extreme Hell was to seal the punishee within the blood prison and use their lifeblood as a sacrifice to the evil demons within.

Typically, warriors beneath the level of a Fey Lord were only qualified to be sealed in the periphery of the Extreme Hell.

Only Fey Thearchs were sealed in the middle where the marsh of blood and flesh was.

At that moment, there was a man situated in the middle of the marsh. More than half his body, all the way to his chest was buried beneath the marsh.

He was none other than the Blood King.

Compared to the day when Yi Yun transcended the tribulations, Blood King looked a lot more haggard. He was nothing but skin and bones, and his body was covered in wounds. The sinister objects within the Extreme Hell marsh were like maggots which formed countless threads that bonded to Blood King’s wounds and sucked at his lifeblood powers.

Such pain went deep into the body and soul, making it a pain more intensive than that of being dismembered.

However, Blood King kept his eyes tightly shut. He slept in the marsh and showed no reaction.

He was still alive and despite the torture, the lifeblood in him remained potent and exuberant.

It was truly incredible that he was still in such a state despite enduring for fifteen years.

“As expected of someone who cultivates in the Indestructible Killing Dao. Apparently, he suits this place well.”

At that moment, three additional figures suddenly appeared in the blood prison.

The person in the middle was tens of feet tall and appeared like a tower. His body suffused a bronze glow and he carried a gigantic black battle ax on his back which burned with a red sanguine glow. The banal aura was domineering!

He was a Celestial expert!

If Yi Yun was here, he would have recognized him immediately. The Celestial expert was Divine General Sanguine Ax whom he had met in the Xuanyuan Dune!

Back when Yi Yun fought Sanguine Ax in the Xuanyuan Dune, he had completely repressed him and siphoned off a portion of his Divine Blood Origins.

The Divine Blood Origins of Celestials were extremely valuable, to which replenishment was just too difficult. To Sanguine Ax, it was definitely an irreconcilable grudge.

However, knowing that he was not Yi Yun’s match, Sanguine Ax had tolerated it back then.

Not only so, he had even torn open space to escape!

Having had his Divine Blood Origins siphoned, all he could do was flee. This was utterly insulting to Sanguine Ax.

Furthermore, Yi Yun had snatched his opportunity from him in the Xuanyuan Dune. If a ranking of living people who hated Yi Yun the most was tabulated, the person that came up on top was definitely Divine General Sanguine Ax.

Sanguine Ax’s attempt to monopolize the Heavenly Dao fragment for himself was a grave sin, but as he had some familial relationship with the Ancestor God, he was pardoned.

Not only so, he had even replenished the Divine Blood Origins which Yi Yun had siphoned off. His cultivation level and bloodline improved and it could be said that he had soared into prominence.

Having returned, the Ancestor God was focused on executing his plans. Sanguine Ax was servile to him and specially did “chores” for the Ancestor God.

Of course, these so-called “chores” were astounding matters to the ordinary person.

For instance, annihilating more than a hundred factions of different races—one that included the Taiyue Nation.

Another “chore” was to deal with the Blood King!

A large part of the reason why Sanguine Ax had done so was to breed demonic servants.

The Ancestor God’s plan needed many demonic servants. As for the dissociation and growth of demonic servants, they all needed sustenance. The stronger the warrior, the greater sustenance they provided.

Previously, when factions like the Taiyue Nation fell, most of its citizens were devoured by demonic servants.

Such matters naturally incurred the displeasure of various races.

Fey Thearchs had resisted, but their outcomes… were tragic without exception.

The Blood King was one of them.

Back then, one of the Fey tribes under the Blood King was vanquished by the demonic servants—the tribesmen were all eaten.

The Blood King took action and killed large numbers of demonic servants and this infuriated the Celestials.

The Blood King was not worthy enough for the Ancestor God to take action. What truly repressed the Blood King was a Ancestor God Token!

The Ancestor God had created twelve Ancestor God Tokens. Each token had one of his lifeblood avatars sealed within.

These Ancestor God Tokens were distributed to loyal subordinates. And someone like Divine General Sanguine Ax helmed control over an Ancestor God Token.

Blood King was completely no match for the Ancestor God’s lifeblood avatar. After an intense battle, Blood King was crushed and suffered an abject defeat.

He fell into the hands of Sanguine Ax and as Sanguine Ax’s hared for Yi Yun went deep, he was eager to torture anyone related to Yi Yun.

Therefore, Blood King was banished into the Extreme Hell and suffered the daily turmoil of having his soul devoured and his bones ground.

Sanguine Ax wished to see how long Blood King could last. When the time came, he would feed his remains and lifeblood to demonic generals.

Meanwhile, the notice regarding the Blood King’s Punishment of Extreme Hell was plastered on the city walls by Sanguine Ax. In the event the retarded Yi Yun had the foolish idea of trying to rescue Blood King, he would have rendered a great service to the Ancestor God.

“He who understands the times is a wise man. The Blood King deserves such a state for being impenetrably thickheaded.”

Of the two people by Sanguine Ax’s side, one was a demonic general, while the other was a Fey Thearch from the ancient Heaven Fey. He was none other than the Heaven Fey Relic Pagoda’s Pagoda Lord, Jiang Lichen.

Jiang Lichen was the best alchemist in Heaven Fey City, and as such, always wished to obtain Yi Yun’s secret to alchemy. However, Yi Yun was just too powerful and he was not his match at all. Therefore, he could only rein in his ambitions.

Later, the Ancestor God appeared, showcasing strength tens of times or even a hundred times stronger than Yi Yun’s.

Worst of all, the Ancestor God knew of a tracing mark that could be planted with a mere thought of his. There was no way of escaping the mark.

Later on, regardless of where one were, the Ancestor God would be able to find them.

If one had thoughts of rebellion, the Ancestor God could easily destroy them, for there was nowhere to run.

Jiang Lichen had such a tracing mark planted in him; therefore, he had no choice but to submit to the Ancestor God. He decided that he might as well pledge absolute allegiance to the Ancestor God because perhaps by doing so, he could obtain Yi Yun’s alchemical secrets before he was annihilated by the Ancestor God.
