Ancestor God!

Everyone’s hearts skipped a beat when they saw the man appear out of thin air. They felt a shudder down their backs.

This was actually not the Ancestor God in person, only a mental projection. He had the ability to project his mental form anywhere that had his tracing mark.

Everyone stood up and faced the Ancestor God’s mental projection. They felt a suppression on a spiritual level.

Silence…

Although the Ancestor God did not speak, everyone felt immense pressure. It felt as though the air had solidified due to the pressure, making it difficult to breathe.

Everyone was feeling uneasy due to the fact that they were just discussing resisting the Ancestor God via voice transmission.

The silence that could drive people crazy lasted for a full fifteen minutes until… the Ancestor God spoke. His voice was deep and full as it went straight into the soul.

“The third stage of the array needs to be completed in ten years!”

As he spoke, his gaze locked onto Polar Thearch.

Polar Thearch felt his heart quake when their gaze met. His soul sea trembled for the Ancestor God’s gaze seemed to penetrate his soul sea defenses and go straight into the core of his soul!

“I’ll be borrowing a few of your disciples,” said Ancestor God slowly.

“What!?” Polar’s heart tightened. He immediately wished to refuse, but at that moment, a powerful nomological force swept over the entire space and closed in around him. He found his body instantly restrained and following that, he felt a spatial attack. Two young Godly Monarchs from his faction who stood behind him were instantly devoured by space!

In just an instant, two young Godly Monarchs had vanished from Polar’s perception.

Polar felt his heart gripped tightly as he could only feel stifled.

The two young Godly Monarchs were juniors Polar thought most highly of. If not for the Ancestor God’s planting of a tracing mark in them, he would never have let them participate in the setup of the array.

Now that they had been sealed in an alternate space-time dimension by the Ancestor God, their outcome was a mystery…

This was a warning and a threat from the Ancestor God!

Although the Ancestor God was unable to listen in on the Yuan Qi voice transmissions among the Godly Monarchs, he could delve deep into their souls and sense the hatred they had.

He was soon finishing his seclusion to complete the final stage of the array. At this moment, he would be somewhat spread thin, so he could not allow for any mishaps to happen to the array.

If these Godly Monarchs began a mutiny and destroyed his array, he could kill them all, but venting his anger would be meaningless. All his time and effort would be wasted. He would have to regather the array materials wasted, and this was easier said than done.

The Ancestor God left, leaving behind a spatial bracer.

All the materials needed for the array, and the jade slips which contained the array setup instructions were stored in the spatial bracer.

Polar picked up the spatial bracer with an extremely mixed expression.

He had no idea if his two disciples would be able to keep their lives, but it was a possibility if he diligently finished the third stage of the array within ten years.

But when that happened, the Ancestor God would devour the Chaos Heavens’ Heavenly Dao.

It was a bitter pill…

Many people had such a feeling and felt that they needed to do something.

“Say, what stage do you think Yi Yun will cultivate to? Will he be able to match the Human Emperor of the past?” War Excellency Sky Punishment suddenly commented.

Everyone was taken aback hearing that.

Yi Yun… This name had already vanished for a hundred years. To the Chaos Heavens, a hundred years was like a fingersnap.

But in these hundred years, too many things had happened. It made people feel as if Yi Yun had vanished for a long time.

“Sky Punishment, don’t tell me you are counting on Yi Yun to fight off the Ancestor God?” Polar shook his head. Back when the Ancestor God suddenly appeared, many people did have such a thought, especially the humans. They treated Yi Yun as their hope.

However, when the Ancestor God’s motives were made known, everyone felt a little despair.

If the Chaos Heavens’ Heavenly Dao wasn’t devoured by the Ancestor God, Yi Yun might really be able to compare with the Human Emperor from the past. Unfortunately, the Ancestor God could not give Yi Yun the chance to develop his strength.

After the Ancestor God fused with the Chaos Heavens’ Heavenly Dao, even Yi Yun’s breakthrough to the Godly Monarch realm would be obstructed. Although he might be able to eventually break through, he wouldn’t be able to demonstrate the strength of a Godly Monarch in the Chaos Heavens.

As for the Ancestor God, his strength would become unassailable. For Yi Yun to attempt matching the Ancestor God, it was no different from pitting an egg against a stone.

“What a pity. If Yi Yun had been born ten thousand years earlier, perhaps the Ancestor God would not be his match now.”

Polar sighed and did not think about it further. He had heard that Yi Yun was not a local of the Chaos Heavens and it was likely he would ultimately leave the Chaos Heavens and return to his original world. However… he still needed to deal with the pursuit of the Ancestor God.

“Let’s set up the array.”

Polar waved his hand and took the spatial bracer. He distributed the materials according to the information contained in the jade slip.

After which, Polar and Sky Punishment left together.

They came from the same human faction, a faction known as the Heavenly Courts.

It was also the leader of all the human factions.

In fact, in the Chaos Heavens, many races had an absolutely powerful faction leading them. These factions gathered the strongest experts of the race.

These super factions would take the initiative to absorb these top experts into them by providing very generous conditions. Because only by doing so would they be able to find their place in the Chaos Heavens. It allowed all the top experts to be cohesive so as to achieve balance with the other races.

The headquarters of the Heavenly Courts were situated in the Heavenly Palace. Like Heaven Fey City, the Heavenly Palace held down a wide distribution of spirit veins and the Heavenly Palace was situated in the middle of the spirit veins.

The richness of the Yuan Qi there was in no way inferior to that of Heaven Fey City.

Polar Thearch and War Excellency Sky Punishment returned to Heaven Fey City with ashen expressions. They had brought more than ten disciples along with them to the Ancestor God’s palace, but returned with two missing. It was embarrassing that they could not even protect their own disciples.

“Patriarch is back.”

The moment Polar and Sky Punishment entered the Heavenly Palace, many human experts came to receive them. In recent years, the humans had fallen completely under the control of the Celestials. To have so many people head to the Ancestor God’s palace left humanity on tenterhooks, afraid that something would happen.

“Sigh…” Polar sighed when he saw the welcoming crowd.

When the crowd saw the duo’s expression, they felt something amiss, as if…

“Patriarch… Where’s… Where’s my father? Why isn’t he with you?”

A weak girl’s voice sounded. It was a girl who looked sixteen. She was dressed in an aqua-green dress and looked pure and adorable.

Her pretty raven-black eyes were seeking her father’s figure among the crowd, but she failed to find him…

Furthermore, she could not sense her father’s aura at all.

Connecting it to Polar’s ashen expression, the girl already found it ominous…

Upon seeing the girl, Polar felt ambivalent. This was his disciple’s only daughter, a princess who was beloved by the Heavenly Courts. Even Polar himself liked her a lot.

All he could do was to speak the truth. “Your father… was made to stay in the Ancestor God’s palace. He won’t be coming back for now…”
