Chapter 37 Purple Robed Southern Courtyard’s Challenge

The only problem was, this young man was quite vain and stretched the truth to win admiration. In essence, he was immature.

“What did you get, senior brother Ding?” w.a.n.g Xiaoqi still wanted to compete with Ding Hao.

“Just a few trinkets,” Ding Hao said with a smile.

He actually wanted to say that he had reopened the Magic Spring aperture and entered the one-apertured realm, so that w.a.n.g Xiaoqi would learn some humility. However, he kept his mouth shut for Zhang Fan’s sake.

w.a.n.g Xiaoqi’s smile widened.

After exchanging a few words, he was excited to show off to other disciples he knew.

“Junior brother Zhang, don’t worry. As long as you have deep foundations, the fact that you were admitted to Swordsmans.h.i.+p-seeking Sect shows that they admire your skills. Just think, you beat out tens of thousands of others for a place in this sect. If you work hard, anything can happen. Tons of famous martial artists only blossomed at a later age. Remember, don’t compete with anyone but yourself,” said Ding Hao rea.s.suringly, seeing that Zhang Fan looked defeated.

Words from this young hunter’s idol instantly perked him up.

“I understand, senior brother Ding. Don’t worry. I won’t give up,” Zhang Fan clenched his fists and said with conviction.

Ding Hao patted his shoulder and said, smiling, “That’s great. Don’t worry too much, and let’s get some breakfast.”

…

Swordsmans.h.i.+p-seeking Sect was truly a great force in Snow Province, sparing no expenses on providing free and all-inclusive accommodations for its disciples.

This was probably one of the reasons why so many people wanted to join the sect.

Disciples on the waiting list were provided with meals in the five separate Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western, and Central courtyards. Therefore, their living quarters and practicing arenas were also separated.

That was why Ding Hao and Zhang Fan were shocked to see a dozen purple robed Southern Courtyard disciples blocking the entrance of the teal robed Eastern courtyard.

They were surrounded by almost 100 Eastern courtyard disciples, who seemed to be squabbling about something.

A couple of them were so beaten and bloodied that they had to be carried away by others, and they were extremely angry.

“Senior brother Ding is here!” exclaimed someone excitedly as they spotted him from afar.

Everyone else also looked over in joy.

“That’s great! Everyone make way.”

“Haha, senior brother Ding is definitely strong enough to teach these Southern courtyard idiots a lesson.”

“Senior brother Ding, you have to avenge us!”

“Hahaha, you Southern courtyard n.o.bodies, don’t run away from our top disciple, Ding Hao.”

The crowd burst into an uproar and gleefully surrounded Ding Hao, babbling like he was their savior.

Ding Hao was able to quickly find out what had happened.

Before the courtyard tournament officially started, fights were already breaking out.

An hour ago, 10 purple robed Southern courtyard disciples had broken into the Eastern area, blocked the entrance to the dining hall, and announced they were going to challenge Eastern courtyard experts. Their att.i.tudes were extremely rude, and they had already injured a few Eastern courtyard disciples.

These Southern courtyard disciples were really quite powerful. Although there were a lot of Eastern courtyard people present, none of the top 10 was here. Many others had tried and already been defeated.

w.a.n.g Xiaoqi, who had formed a Qi seed, was also black and blue. It seemed he had just taken a beating.

Ding Hao frowned, and before he could say anything, the purple robed Southern courtyard disciples were already making jests.

“Hahaha, how upsetting it is that no one has been able to withstand one move from our senior brother. I guess the rumors are true that the teal robed Eastern courtyard is really a heap of trash and the lowest among the five courtyards!”

“Do you think you lot can make it in the courtyard tournament? I suggest you spare our sect the embarra.s.sment!”

“I really don’t know how you all pa.s.sed the test. You’re all so weak, it’s disappointing.”

“Oh right, where is that number one disciple, Ding Hao? Get out here so I can have him beg for mercy with one move…”

The purple robed disciples were standing in front of the dining hall entrance, looking down on Ding Hao and the others with cold smiles and spewing insults. They instantly enraged all the Eastern disciples.

They all stared at Ding Hao, hoping that this top pick for the courtyard tournament would step out and make a stand.

Ding Hao frowned.

d.a.m.n it, these people were really asking for it.

“You don’t think anyone can take one move from you? Let me see how many moves all 10 of you can take from me! Get down here!”

Ding Hao was never a violent person, but roared angrily at this moment. Without another word, he leaped into the sky like a bird and shot towards the purple robed Southern courtyard disciples.

One against 10?

“Humf, you’re insane. Don’t try to mess with me, Nan Gongzheng!”

A slender and lion-like young man, with long blonde hair and feline eyes, was enraged by Ding Hao’s behavior and swung out his palm.

A visible force shot through the air.

Everyone instantly felt breathless as this force pa.s.sed by.

Nan Gongzhen chuckled coldly. He wanted to end Ding Hao’s arrogance with one strike.

The teal robed disciples were shocked.

Ding Hao was in the sky, while Nan Gongzheng was planted on the ground and could use his full force. In this fight, the latter had an advantage.
